How to reach Borgo Braila

Borgo Braila sits high in the green hills of Umbria, near the little town of Piegaro. It is wonderfully off the beaten track — which is exactly why it feels like a world of its own. Here is the simplest way to find us.

The closest airport — about 50 minutes by car. Regional flights from several European cities.

Florence

Around 1 h 45 by car. A great option with more international connections.

FCO

Rome – Fiumicino

Roughly 2 hours by car. The best choice for long-haul and intercontinental flights.

Getting here by car

Pick up a car at the airport

The borgo is in the countryside, so a car is by far the easiest way to reach us. Car rental is available at all three airports.

Follow the motorway toward Umbria

From Rome or Florence take the A1 motorway and exit at Fabro or Chiusi–Chianciano Terme. From Perugia head west on the E45, then the SS220 toward Piegaro.

The final approach to Greppolischieto

Follow the signs to Piegaro and then Greppolischieto. The last country lanes wind gently through olive groves and woodland — take them slowly and enjoy the view.

For the easiest and most comfortable arrival, please follow the directions provided by Google Maps using the exact coordinates 42°57'20.8"N 12°09'37.4"E, or by entering the name “Borgo Braila.”

We strongly recommend not using Waze or other navigation apps, as they may suggest unpaved, narrow, or otherwise unsuitable roads that are not convenient for reaching the property.
